Does anyone know where I can get an engine wiring harness bulkhead grommet? Mine has split and lets fumes in now.

I will need one soon as well, spotted this at Burtonpower, not sure if it's the right size as I haven't taken the old one out yet?

The problem may be that most grommets are made to fit a steel panel, one or two millimetres thick at most. Fibreglass panels are invariably a lot thicker.

Is this one any good?

On my car it's quite a large oval shaped grommet on the main harness.

The engine harness grommet is much bigger diameter, the TVR parts grommet is only for a single cable such as the bonnet release or throttle cable

My grommet is a big oval squashy thing that looks like this.

Looks like being a pig to swap out.

Not the best picture but here it is as part of the harness.

I’d be tempted to repair the original my smearing some decent quality mastic around the bit that leaks.

Curious... from what I can see inside the car (not much even though the dash is out at the moment) the hole in the bulkhead is circular, as is the grommet. Maybe the grommet on the LR supplied engine harnesses changed over the Griff/Chim production period? I need to get a closer look at mine in case I've got it wrong

I was wondering if they were different on different year cars. My 1996 Griff is a round cornered rectange shape (from memory). And on the Chimaera in question it's more oval. Circular probably won't work because there's not enough height to cut the fibreglass.

Wondering if my plan B of making a new one using some neoprene rubber in the same way I made yacht mast to deck seals would be the easiest option.
