It can be a pain. The rubber goes into copper down behind the engine so can be difficult to get at. I have had some that were so tight I had to work from underneath, release some of the cable ties holding the copper and gently bend it down until I could get at the hose clip to change the hose. Others have removed the plenum and its base to get at it which would be the route I would suggest if you don't have access to a ramp.
There is some really s
te hose out there even from well known suppliers (and correctly marked in their defence) so I would recommend you find 'Gates Barricade' hose as we have built up a level of confidence in it. We had to do a recall on cars we had fitted the s
te hose to as they were failing as soon as 6 months.
