Had car since April and run it at weekends with maybe odd night in week and this morn after last time being used was last Sunday , all normal pump primed etc turned over fine so battery good but took a while to “catch” and fire up ?

So cranking fine and strong it normally just fires straight up but took a couple of try’s this morn and was cranking for a while (you know when it’s not normal) ran car all day today so lots of stop starts and was fine cranked as per normal so just this morn ?

Never done this before ? Any pointers ideas ? It can’t be anything that would keep causing issues as it ran and started fine all day !

I have 'off' days sometimes so why not a car.

If I have not used my car for several weeks I turn on the ignition and wait the required three seconds for the pump to prime the fuel rail, then quickly turn ignition off and then on again and as soon as I hear the pump has primed a second time I start the engine.
It may just be that you are turning the key too quickly without giving the fuel rail time to prime.

This.

If it takes longer to start again try priming pump twice, fuel rail pressure can drop off quite a bit if stood.
Ages ago after a short lay up I found it took a good 10 seconds cranking
Next time I primed pump twice and second time it still pressurised which it would normally never do, it fired straight away so concluded fuel pressure had been low.

Do bear in mind that if you do have adequate fuel and it either doesn't fire, or starts to but doesn't catch, then it tends to flood.
Either walk away and give it time to clear, or foot on the loud pedal to the floor and turn it over until it fires up
