sticking back brakes?

Hi,

I'm finding that my 96' Chimaera back brakes are dragging. in the braking system, what forces the pads apart after you release the brakes?

Nothing only the fact no hyd pressure is being applied to the piston, worth checking the caliper slider pins are not seized or sticking and that both pads move freely in the carrier cradle , sticking handbrake cables and failing h/brake mechanism along with sticking or partially seized piston can all give you similar symptoms to , check the easy things 1st above
