TVR Chimaera Book
Discussion
Help! I'm looking for the Heath book on the Chimaera and Griffith, second edition and I live in Monterey, CA. The site for this book states that can't be shipped to the USA or Canada. Does anyone have a source? I'm researching the Chimaera as I want to buy one. Thanks in advance for good leads.
Great taste in cars! Here’s a link to one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-Griffith-and-Chimae...
I’m in North Carolina and on Chimaera #2 already, after a string of S models. Message me if you want any advice on sourcing and importing, so far I have been very lucky!

Hi and welcome to the Chimaera forum on Pistonheads.Do you intend to try and locate a Chimaera to buy in the U.S or do you intend to import one ?
I was in Monterey this summer early June. Beautiful part of the world.
Me and the wife were on a 3 week driving holiday along Highway 1 starting in San Diego, all done in a convertible Mustang. Wish it
could have been the Chimaera though.
If you struggle to buy and have the book posted to the U.S then contact me through email and we can arrange for me to post it to
you.

Thank you both. I'm posting my bid on eBay and if that does not work, I'll gladly take your offer of obtaining it and posting it to me.
I'm intrigued by the Chimaera and look forward to getting one, hopefully one already in the US.
I'm a collector and want to add it to my stable- and drive it of course!

To be fair, the book was released when the internet was in its infancy, and these cars were still in production. Even the 2nd edition was back in 2002. It's true you can find the answer to most queries online now.
It was to assist people used to getting manuals on cars (Haynes etc), of which there were none for TVRs. It saved many owners from huge labour charges at 'dealers' for simple jobs, me included. But it's NOT a workshop manual, more of a reference book really.
I'm always surprised at the amount second hand versions go for on ebay when you can get a new edition cheaper.... And elsewhere too. One cheeky git is trying for £430 for a hardback edition!
