Looking for an alternative battery tray?

Plastic is best.... simple, strong, light, non-conductive so no shorts, cheap and being plastic it can't corrode!
Take your PC1500 measurements and have a look on a few chandler websites as the best plastic battery trays are sold for boats.
Go for one with a good stout plastic central bridge clamp, a central bridge clamp is better as it doesn't interfere with the battery terminals and being non-conductive plastic it will not cause a short.
This sort of thing....

Nice external drilled feet for easy bolting to the floor too.

Their 11" x 7" (28cm x 17.7cm) size should do it but do double check your measurements first, if it takes your PC1500 at £15.50 you really can't do wrong
Say goodbye to that crapppy fiberglass TVR battery box with its spinning captive nuts you can't even access because they're trapped under the battery itself, only to find you also can't lift the battery out because there's no room to do so
Honestly, go with a plastic battery tray.... you'll never look back

Will have a measure up and order!
Top man!
You will not be disappointed with your Odyssey PC1500, I fitted mine over 8 years ago and I fully expect it to last at least 20 years. Will have a measure up and order!

However, if you want it to last it's your responsibility to look after it properly, make sure your alternator delivers 14v to the battery and regulates at 14v too. You should also invest in a decent AGM compatible charger, this is critical as AGM batteries need a very different charging algorithm (bulk & absorption), the float charge should also be 13.7v to ensure you enjoy maximum life from your expensive Odyssey AGM battery.
Odyssey batteries are in a different class, yes they are almost twice the price, but they are also more than twice as good as a regular flooded lead acid battery, ditching the stupid TVR fiberglass battery box is also a big improvement and for less than £20 a battery tray represents a no-brainer upgrade.
