So I've had one of these jump starters delivered, I've already got one that I thought I'd lost but I'm thinking of plumbing in a connector that's suitable for emergency jump starting but can also be used for connecting my CTEK trickle charger or my portable fridge for while I'm on touring holidays. The fridge already has a 50A Anderson connector attached to the power lead so I'm thinking of permanently wiring one connector that can be used for all of the above with or without an adapter lead.

I'm thinking of Battery to 175A connector (is this the same as Tuscan's used) then replacing the crocodile connectors with the same Anderson connector for jump starting and a 175A - 50A fly lead for the rest of the uses does this sound ok? I'd keep the connector in the car and close to the battery to avoid corrosion. Anyone see any issues? Seams for ~£30 + a few connectors and leads I could be self contained for emergency starts while I'm touring.

Sounds perfect to me

Will the fridge flatten the battery or are you on the case?

I've ordered some of the 175A connectors although I hope never to need them now I've removed the gizmo with a parasitic drain.

Fridge has a low voltage cutout and I don't use it when the car isn't running although I'm hoping it will run of a solar panel and an old battery while camping so will add a connector to that setup too.

Nice

You could always wire in a split charge circuit to keep that old battery topped up when the cars on the go
