Hi all

I am new to this site so please be gentle lol
I have a very early 1993 TVR Chimaera with a leaking master cylinder. I have tried to get a new one but nobody from the TVR parts world has stock. It's the early one with all four ports being M10.
I can get the later one with 2 m12 and 2 m10 ports easily but am struggling with mine until December.
Does anyone out there know a makers part number or what car they where used from so I can try and track them down.
I was given a delphi part number but it turned out to be for the later cars.
Thankyou in advance for any help.

I know it's a bit tight in there but could you get one of these in?

Think this is the 4x M10 thread.

I just fitted the M10 M12 One off of them and it's spot on, arrived within a couple of days and works perfectly.

The one you have linked to is 20.64mm bore, think correct one should be 22mm ?

Well spotted, I have no idea as I haven't got that one I was just making assumptions.

Have you removed the master cylinder from the servo so you can take some measurements? Come to think of it have you removed the brake lines yet? Considering the soaking mine needed to get off it might be easier to make new ones with M12 fittings jester

Hi

I have carried out a total restoration of the car over the last 5 years and although the master cylinder is 5 years old it has only recently done 50 miles to its mot and back and it started to leak past the piston seals which I am not happy about.
So the new brake pipes came out easily and after the normal problems because of where the cylinder is it was removed easily aswell off it's new servo.
I will take some measurements off the bore of the faulty cylinder tomorrow to see what cylinder I was supplied with from TVR parts.
The pipe adapters is a good idea but unfortunately I dont think there is enough room for them.

Would space man be kind enough to give me the part number for the m10 , m12 cylinder. I am going to change my brake pipes to your normal later type cylinder and fit that.
Thanks

This is the one I bought, if you click on the item description it gives you all of the measurements and cross reference numbers.
