CD Player in Boot

This may be a daft question. The CD player in the boot of my Chimaera is not covered, should there be a carpet piece covering it? Thanks in advance.

When I have previously installed CD Changers in the boot in a Horizontal position, I have used TVR's boot carpet to cover them. Only allowing the full front face to be seen. probably a bit OCD for some.

I’ve never understood the need for a sound system in a Chim (I ripped mine out), surely that RV8 is the only sonic stimulation you need

Seriously, though I have a set of rear speaker shrouds/spacers (if that’s the right name), which effectively prevent the speaker backs hitting the fuel tank - if anyone is interested?

I used to have a CD changer in the boot from new. It came covered with flap of rubber.

Same, it's a Pioneer CD changer fitted above the fuel tank with a rubber flap to prevent any rain running off the boot lid when you open it when wet.
