Are there any sources to buy a good one? or anyone with an old spare or even a complete dizzy with one attached they might sell?
John, I'd be tempted to email "The Distributor Doctor" - guess a google search will give contacts. Guess you're aware that the market is flooded with poor quality ignition/HT components from China...all with Lucas packaging on.
The distributor doctor advertises in the Classic magazines, and I've seen reference to them here on PH where folks have been pleased with parts supplied. I'm not a fan of 'Intermotor' components..

One of the respected Tvr service centres that sell parts would be my choice, they have the ones they like to use which are normally the best around I’d expect. Probably cost a few pence more but usually some assurance the stuff isn’t junk.
What he said.....Powers in CoventryAnything else is just inferior
taken less time to find than kettle to boil

Thanks guys, I've grabbed that ebay one Zener, I am also going to chase up the other suggestions, you can't have too many spares. I would still like an original tvr distributor complete, anyone who has converted to ecu with bits still on their garage shelf let me know, cheers, John.
I think I still have a distributor on the shelf from going Emerald. I may also have a coil and ignition amp.
I will have a look at the weekend and message you with what I have got.
