Hi all,I know it's frowned on when a Newby asks for delicate information, but I have been around for years under the tag of chimalsu, but I cannot get into that profile for some reason.i have got my chimaera out of the garage after five years as I am moving home and needed the car on the road ,the car has been on a battery monitor and started first time,I took it for mot across the road to my local garage, and two front flexible hoses later was mot's.two days later I try the car and all I get is clicking, fitted a new battery yesterday and the car cranks but the pump won't prime.i am pretty sure it's the immobiliser as the light on the steering column won't go out.is there anyone willing to mail me the method of bypassing the immobiliser petrol side,I'm pretty sure I bypassed the ignition side years ago.my car is a 96 4litre hc,I've had it for 21 years, but because of the house move I am rapidly running out of time to get the car sorted,so if anyone can oblige I would be extremely grateful

Proper bodge but if you just need to power the pump you could just send 12v to it straight from the battery until you get it to wherever you need it. The relay runs straight to the pump as far as I'm aware and it's right Infront of the battery wink

,thank you for the replies,I now have the information i needed due to the wonderful folk on this forum, i have now got car started by giving the fob socket a blast of wd,and wiggling the fob about with the ignition on,so it looks as if the problem is with the fob socket on the steering column so disarming all together would be the simplist solution if the problem persists, cheers alan
