I notice that some of the nuts and related metal parts (eg the hinges under the boot lid) on my Chimaera are developing a little surface rust and I guess I shall have to put something on this. What would people recommend I apply and how best to apply it?

If it is only surface rust, I've used both Vactan and Cortanin F. It can be brushed on and the brush washed out in water.

Takes only a couple of hours ( in these temperatures!) to harden. Then can be painted over. smile

Xcp wax spray can be bought in Halfords. Does well in any YouTube corrosion tests.

Stainless depending on where it is, especially if it's seen. Also get stainless washers.
or Renolite Rust Converter is excellent - though it turns rust black, so you may want to paint over it.
