Saw a couple on James Agger site...not sure what sort of warranty these come with...

Thoughts on either?

Probably best to ask the dealer about any warranty scratchchin

if you want 'cheap,' a dealer is not where you'll find them. But cheap at the outset may not be cheap in the end if it has issues.

Any trader has to provide a warranty (of sorts) however, but with a car that age, any very small thing would not be claimable.

That 4.3 looks a good buy if the chassis is good. The 4.3 engines were very lively. Loved mine. driving

The 4.3 is the most interesting, nice to see one sold and spend all its life fairly local to me.
All I would say is that they usually sell cars for top money so I would guess they are not the usual quality they deal with.
Prices seem normal to me, not particularly cheap.
The LT77 gearbox is the only thing that puts me off the 4.3 really.

The 4.3 is nice but on the MoT history, the mileage is all over the place. It's an early digital odometer that probably had a failed internal battery, more than once. Mileage is more of an estimate.frown

But how much does millage matter on these cars really?

I have yet to make the plunge into the world of TVR, but with kitcars or even with a road cars, I would always go on condition over millage.

The pictures of freshly powder coated wishbones are lovely, but neither listing has any photos of the chassis or outriggers.

To be fair, they've admitted as much in the description, now that I've read it all. rolleyes

You're right, though. By that age, condition is more important.

agree with the point on mileage, a higher mileage car can mean its had many of its kinks ironed out, parts replaced and updated.
From what I know of my own car (just turned 90k yesterday), if it hadn't been through the rebuild, I suspect it would have been an absolute dog.
A fair portion of parts on mine have done between 1k and 15k miles, including some important bits like the clutch, cam shaft, timing gear, outriggers, CV joints, hubs, etc...

Condition and work done tells a very different story.
Much like Trigger's broom.
