Fitted TT Mirror
Discussion
Got around to fitting the MK1 TT mirrors tonight ,well, just the drivers side.
Really cheap (£30 pair, electric with glass) and I think they look nice. To be honest I do prefer the originals but I think thats just because i'm used to them. I'm fed up with them coming loose though so these are staying.
Really simple actually, just had to dremel out a bit either side of the original hole so the legs could fit in, then the shroud covers the original hole.
Now I just have to get them sprayed and try to work out the wiring.

Not done the electrics yet, I'm just googling at the moment to try and work that out.
To fit them I just put the mirror as far into the original hole as it went, then marked where it was catching with a marker pen. Dremelled away a bit at a time until they slid in. Then just drilled two holes for the mounting bolts. Only took about 20mins.
