With the boost control being fitted in place of the head unit , I've had a quick look at some options and there are few out there. Anyone tried this one or one similar? http://www.outofsightaudio.com/mark-ii.html
This one is just controlled via bluetooth from a smartphone.
i still like a bit of music from time to time.

Do you have any pics of your proposed boost control?
I've got an aem fail safe which replaces my clock, it reads afr,s and boost. And will cut boost at pre determined levels if the engine goes lean.
I also have an O car stereo which uses an iPhone 3/ 4 /s for music and apps .
This is the ecu software running I can also get it on my iPad.

This another app, an accelerometer

Liking that set up....alot!I've got an aem fail safe which replaces my clock, it reads afr,s and boost. And will cut boost at pre determined levels if the engine goes lean.

I've been mthinking about a chromecast audio plugged in to the amp. Would need your phone as a wireless hotspot but get rid of the need for a stereo.
Its an option definately even with WIFI connect! The out of sight unit is just a blutooth connection and doesn't need the head unit to be connected either or working, so it would be an option if you desperately wanted to keep the original look or in my case don't have the space for it any more.
No idea how good it is though, so its a bit of a punt.

are you running an after meercat ECU?
No at the minute I will be running on the 14cux, so it depends how that performs as to how long I wait to go to an aftermarket ecu...Eann Whalley is working his magic on it and the boost control is a stand alone unit. There a lambda boss in the downpipe so I have the option of AFR control but thats not going to be fitted while on the 14cux. How are you finding the twin turbo and the setup (controls) on yours? It looks well thought out.

It's been off the road since 2013 as I was building an extension so I could restore the chassis. Now I'm in the final throws of getting the car back on the road. But before when it was running and only mapped by me, not properly I might add, everything worked really well, I think an after market ECU is a must for a turbo setup to get the best out of it, but you are entering a rabbit hole because you replace one thing and that leads to something else.i think the only standard part of the car is rear number plate light, lol.
I got rid of the innovate lambda setup and replaced it with the aem, I had heard stories of them going out of calibration and needing setting up regularly.
Tbh the whole car has been uprated to cope with the power, so things don't break.( hopefully). All in all the car is like a pussycat round town until you unleash it then it try's to bite your head clean off.
I used to have a boost gauge and AFR gauge, and looked into car data displays thinking that they would help me tune and look after the car. But last summer I realised that I never use any of it and it looks a bit s
t so I took everything out and returned it to a standard dashboard so it looks just about stock (other than a stainless dash and different headunit). I have a wifi conneciton to my Ipad to check if the ECU is upset with something, but no sign of any tinkering from the outside. Because really, extra gauges and stuff are only for showing off aren't they...?
I realised after a while of having extra gauges that I literally never looked at them; if the car is set up properly then you shouldn't need to touch or monitor anything. This is the ECU's job and should put you into limp mode if something is wrong, indicated by a tiny LED warning. Surely it's better to keep the cabin looking elegant despite whatever tuning you've done to the engine??

Off the road since 2013...now thats patience! Well worth it though if you made the space to comfortably restore the chassis and stuff going forward of course. I tend to struggle every time I try to work in the single garage! I parked it up last week close on passenger side to make space drivers side and got myself wedged between the wall and the car on the passenger side while trying to look underneath...I had to snake my way out backwards..if the garage door hadn't been open I think I'd still be there now.But before when it was running and only mapped by me, not properly I might add, everything worked really well, I think an after market ECU is a must for a turbo setup to get the best out of it, but you are entering a rabbit hole because you replace one thing and that leads to something else.i think the only standard part of the car is rear number plate light, lol.

Look theres so much you can do with these cars its everyone to their own so heavily modified or not they are all great on their own merits. Let's be honest there are so many improvements that can be made its not always modifying just for the sake of modifying.
I bet you can't wait to get it back on the road now.. how close are you?

Nick I take your point and I'm going into unchartered territory here so its difficult to comment without any experience of a turbo on a tvr. I trust Eann's experience on whats worthwhile on the 14cux and really for me its being able to control boost levels and start finish parameters rather than too much fiddling as such. I'm a little limited on the 14cux.

I suppose its subjective on what looks good to each of us but agree you don't want it to look like a dogs dinner. Hence why I was looking at a hidden stereo so it minimises the impact. I'll likely change it when I inevitably go to an aftermarket ecu....funds have limited that option at the moment unfortunately.
