The glass in my nearside door mirror seems quite loose and shakes above 50 mph. It's been like it for around 1000 miles now, although it gets no worse.
Does anyone know how it is held onto the adjuster mechanism? Is it as simple as double sided tape? Should I pull it off and re-stick it, or will I break something?

The mirror is made up of a backing plate (that mounts to the motor), a heater mat and the glass itself on the top.
It is all held onto the motor by 4 tabs. If you look under the bottom of the glass, there is a small plastic lever that you slide sideways to release it. This is how they are secured on many cars. You may have to motor the mirror looking up at the sky to see it. It is tricky to put on and many aren't put on properly.
The glass is stuck to the heater mat itself with double sided tape, or is on mine. When I got my car, some 'mechanic' had been unable to do it properly and had secured the assembly to the shell using blue tac!
