Gaz Golds are popular and about £600 for a set (well they were a few years ago). The 'Golds' are worth the extra money over the other Gaz products (nickel?)

Nitrons are another option. I think generally regarded better but more expensive?

You would be better off posting in the TVR forum thread.

But make sure you learn out to spell ChimAera first otherwise you will be shootlaugh

What are you planning on doing with the car?

Road driving only, or some track events too?

All our roads are rural!

If your present dampers are the original Bilsteins, I wouldn't change them unless they are broken.
If you want to replace them anyway, then

Standard (non-adjustable):

Protechs cost around £600. I don't believe they are adjustable. Alun (ClassicChimaera) has them and likes them.
New Bilsteins cost around £900, but do have 3 ride height adjustments

Adjustables:

Gaz Nickel/Gaz Gold Pro - £600-700, have full ride height and stiffness adjustment
Gaz Mono - £900, as above but have a faster response to bumps
My TVR guy has raced on Monos and won the championship on them.
Nitrons are around £1,300 and are well rated by some. Full ride height and stiffness adjustment. You have to specify what valving etc you want.

May we ask why you want to change the dampers? If it is down to ride quality or handling, then you might achieve what you want by better tyre selection or a four wheel alignment.

Just for info the Protechs are available at £500 and they have adjustment for spring and damper.

Thanks Paul - good info.
For reference, adjustables make it much easier to adjust your ride height, and also your comfort/handling.
But you probably knew that anyway?
