Anyone changed to LED for better illumination, and what part number if you did

Why would you want better illumination for a number plate?

I had problems when it came to MOT time (difficult garage) and one of the bulb holders was broken.
So I change to a 12v LED strip. (I have the back lit number plate with honeycomb structure)
This worked well.

I have the later Landtover 4 in a pod rear lights.
Love the look of them, but feel very vulnerable on a busy dual carnageway on a wet winter night amongst all the Blackpool illuminations of modern LED rear lights.
Any suggestions for making them a lot brighter?

I fitted festoon LED's nice and bright easy fit and passed MOT fine, i also added crafting foil to help with illumination.

I fitted festoon LED lamps to mine (later one with sloping number plate & external lamps). Whiter illumination.

2 of them off ebay (from Hong Kong) was cheaper at 99p than a standard halogen. Still working after 12 months.
