Both sections come off and go in the boot.

It's his latest version. That is his own car, and it looks even better close up.
If you haven't met him, that's Steve on the left, explaining the finer points to Ole Vik.
The elegant car in the background is my wife's 1999 Saab 9-5 Turbo.

If tvr had made a cerbera convertible (not an rv8 2 seater chim) but an actual 4.2/4.5 AJP8, that may possibly have been an awesome car, or the most unstable death trap ever made hehe

I think both versions shown above look really nice - anyone know approximate costs?

Having been mulling over one of these for a loooooong time, has anyone got any long-term ownership experience? How it's affected your roof habits, how you've managed with getting anything (at all?) in the boot simultaneously with both sections, how it's worn, etc.

my thoughts on this as i was planning on one, would be hard top for winter use soft top for summer but i can imagine its a PTA to find suitable storage when its not on the car,and when it is i wouldn't want to risk putting it in the boot and scratching the paint

Just ask Steve your questions.....

Like the factory set up, you can remove just the targa panel and store it in the boot, running with the rear section on the car. Steve's targa panel is considerably lighter in weight than the factory panel. To remove it you simply release the side clips holding the rear section to the body, and lift it out.

But for those lazy summer Sunday drives, he puts the rear section in the boot first, covers it with a soft wool blanket, then pops the targa panel on top. You would probably store anything you wanted in the boot (other than coats) under the rear section on the floor of the boot. The rear section is held in place with 4 clips.

The joy of this roof is three-fold - a hard top for roof-on days, a targa panel that lifts out alone, and a lovely smooth line at the rear if you remove the whole thing.
