Brake light power supply

Brake lights not working today, pedal switch working ok but no 12v at the switch.
All fuses ok at the board.
Took 12v from elsewhere and the brake lights work again which will be a temporary fix
but I'm keen to find out where the 12v comes from so I can chase the fault

On my 97 Chim the brake light feed is a green wire from fuse 18.
Fuse 18 also supplies windscreen wiper park so something else to check.
