Evening all! Just replaced the spigot bush in the Chimaera. Following directions from a Landy technical manual it says to ream out the ID to a 19.177mm (+0.025mm/ -0mm) once fitted, however in typical fashion the TVR one is 15mm in dia instead (as some of you probably know!).

What diameter should I ream this bushing out to?
Thanks in advance,
JC

I used a 15mm reamer, then followed with a few laps of 800 wet and dry used wet with GT85 ... probably completely offend the engineers in here but it's been fine so far (maybe 10k since rebuild). To be honest, I'm not sure it actually needed changing but felt I *should* when the box was out...

Are there not 2 different spigot bushes available? i.e. early and late. TVR Parts list one for the later cars which is currently not available. No mention of early cars though....confused

Think they're different depending on whether LT or T5 box - but will still need sizing after installation as drifting them in will squeeze the inner diameter

Lovely stuff, many thanks for the help all; I shall ream the bushing out to 15mm and report back if all is well!
