I'd forgot about this as I did it a few weeks ago in response to other powerful users

But it never seemed to register, then Pistonheads wouldn't let me sign in all weekend, then today eventually re set password and Bobs your fanny ain't I'm 350,,, I'll correct it cos it's more like 342 ft lb since a re calculation

But now I'm de cat so who knows

It's all good for a laugh
The Kid is harsh, but correct pretty much.
But then I'm standard induction with long trumpets 38 mm and standard heads.
And it produces 5.0 levels of torque so I like it, hp means very little to me as I don't often use it.
The irony is all these mods and most these cars are a second faster than mine over 400 odd yards 1/4 mile! That's like 5 blinks of your eye!!!!!
Because of my long trumpets and easy cam coupled with MBE ign timing it's manners down low are now impeccable and that matters to me more than top end power.
I set a drag strip time of 13.1 seconds with my low powered engine
and that was catted.
If the rain holds off long enough I'll try and see if the extra 7/10 hp the de cat pipe offers makes a difference in the times at Shakespeare raceway tomorrow
I also have better tyre's so I'm hoping to knock off 4 tenths off my times.
My changing names on here was just to try and rise a smile or two as life's tough without laughs

I like my car and its power very much and it's enough for me. Drag times don't add upto much and don't always tell the real picture either.
It's just a bit of fun as far as I'm concerned.
And I do love studying the numbers, and your numbers tell me we would have been neck for neck, you slightly faster away, I catch you and somehow pip you at the line( gear change) anything could be the reason. Less wind anything!
I think most of us on here see through the willy waving as just more fun.
I can only applaud others attempts on the strip whatever the times maybe.
As for tuning, it's also fantastic to witness the mods and progress others have made.
the fact that's rewarded with good times is not something I begrudge and it makes perfect sense that those times reflect the effort these owners have worked for.
