Hi, eventually sorted out the fuel pump and Lambda probe issue, I feel it's time for a bit of care and attention.

My rear screen is stuck in with gaffer tape, horrendous ! I am planning on a full hood re trim , but need to get the £'s together first. Has anyone had any success with self adhesive Velcro ?

Also speedo is not working, I need to identify it to get it repaired. It's on a 1993 M plate car. Black bezel and dial. It has the digital readout for the miles, with no trip option. The digital readout is now blank, internal battery, and not registering speed, hopefully then sensor on the diff. I want to send it of to get a new battery, but need to know what it is first .

Any pointers appreciated, thanks

For early speedometers and gauges try ETB Instruments: http://www.etbinstruments.com/index.php?route=prod...

For later then its Caerbont: http://www.smiths-instruments.co.uk/tvr

Sounds like you have an ETB speedo like this one (this is a pic from google search but it's the same as mine).

I sent my speedo to ETB 4 or 5 years ago and they fitted a new battery for about £50, they have to fit a new rim and said they were running short of stock and wouldn't be able to do the battery repairs when they had run out. Don't know if this is still the case or maybe they will make a new batch of rims? I imagine the demand though will be small and might not justify them making a new batch.

Best to call them and see what they can do

Thanks, that's the one, but black dial. will give them a call. Velcro on the rear plastic did not work. Can't get the adhesive to stick well enough to the canvas. Saving pennies to get it done right. Anyone used a trimmer in Cambridge? Just off Fen Road.
