Rev counter disconnected wires

Took the gauges out and on the rev counter the warning light (no idea what it is) saw the wires were tied in a knot with the ends exposed but not connected to anything.

Any ideas what they are and if they need to be hooked up¿

Those wires are for the small red square lamp in the dial lower area, never seen them wired up before on these cars, I stuck an ultra bright LED in the opening duals up for a shift light and coolant temps over 95 if I dont see the gauge 1st but I have an aftermarket engine managment ECU to do this , in your case just ignore ..................................
