Lower coolant temp, with fans on all the time - AC
Discussion
To those running their cars with their AC on, as the fans both come on as soon as you click the switch, and stay on, do you find that your car runs cooler?
My normal running temp (and it is around 25-28 deg out here at the moment) is around 85-90 deg C. When I turn the AC on it drops (as far as the Rover temp sender gauge is concerned) by about 10 deg.
Is this normal or should I get the IR temp gun out and Rovergauge? If I do this, can this be reliably tested while standing next to the car on idle and not driving in traffic?
Is it possible that the temp sender is being affected by the flow of air from the fans (the wire is in conduit)?
