Tyre Sizes for 16" Wheels? (front & rear)
Discussion
In the process of sorting an array of new parts but also need new tyres. I am currently running Toyo proxes (TR1s) and based on advice here I was hoping to get some Uniroyal Rainsport 3s.
However, they don't make them in my current tyre sizes:
Front 225/45/16
Rear 245/45/16
I have the normal five spoke Imola wheels but maybe I don't have the optimum sizes for 16" wheels all round. Any suggestions?

In Uniroyal Rainsport 3s I don't think you are going to do 16 inch all round - they just don't make the sizes.
Many of us recommending the tyres have 17 inch wheels (because of bigger brakes), so use 215/45 17 and 235/45 17.
I'd be interested to know what other recommenders with the standard factory 15/16 Imola set up recommend in Rainsports, as I cannot see the correct sizes here either.

I share your pain, see my (the penultimate) post...

Rears: 225/50 R 16Y (225/55 ZR 16)
Speedo was recalibrated when repaired. Excellent tyres
Since Uniroyal don't do my current tyre sizes I have decided to change my tyre sizes slightly in order to be able to change from my current knackered toyos
So moving from:
Front 225/45/16
Rear 245/45/16
to:
Front 205/50/16
Rear 225/50/16 - This is one of the stock TVR sizes anyway!
Sidewall height difference:
Front + 0.12 cm
Rear + 0.22 cm
Rolling Radius difference:
Front + 0.79 cm
Rear + 1.41Cm
Minimal difference so clearance shouldn't be an issue, my speedo will change but its miles off anyway.
The bonus - total cost £271 including shipping for all four from Camskill. Just need fitting and balancing.
Will let you know the outcome next week but hopefully the above will be useful to someone

Ride height Daz. They shouldn't catch until full lock and even then only just. I've got standard shocks on and the hide height is almost exactly what it was with adjustable shocks that I'd set via outrigger corners to standard settings and looked high. Lots of us are running the cars in what looks a cool low mean ride height but it's to low to really work well on the roads.
Your steering might start working again too. But I've mentioned that before
