Mystery connector

While removing the centre trim to extricate all the extra amp wiring used by the previous owner, I've discovered this 3 pin connector:

I suspect it is the handbrake warning connector but there is nothing to connect to. The handbrake warning lamp is not working, in fact none of the lamps above the lights buttons work.

A similar question was posed on the Griffith pages a few months back by someone who had exported their Griff to North Carolina. Have a dig in those pages.
I think the answer to the question in that other post was that it may have been the heated seats. I think that was a '95 or pre '95 Griff.
In my Griff (a '96 500), that connector is for the speed sensor.

After further trim removal, I found 2 x 2 pin plugs unconnected. Wire colours are black and white with a pink stripe.These are most likely the heated seats connectors. T
he one above has nothing to connect to so is redundant I think. The handbrake warning switch was under another panel and I found it was connected up but broken.
