We find the same on the Buell website that I frequent; it's dying because people say they find Fakebook 'easier to use'.
However, as FB is all one long thread (or so I understand, I will not use it on principle myself), useful info is difficult to access once time has passed. Truth is, they won't realise how valuable these forums' resourses are until they're gone...

keep on resisting! I refuse to be one of the masses, that's why I haven't bought a Porsche yet although the older I am, the weaker I am becoming.

So true!! For an amateur spanner swinging who enjoys tinkering with the cars as much as driving them PH and the people who have frequented it has made it all possible for me and been my main resource for help. You can post up your problem and get a solid response in minutes. It takes a bit longer now but I really hope it doesn't fade away. Stick with it guys. I agree that you are more likely to get a quicker response on the Facebook thread rather than here, and it is easier to post short statements and use pictures to illustrate your problem.
However, I find that whereas on here, the nature of the thread remains technical and people are prepared to spend longer answering in more detail, on Facebook, many threads start off on topic and then go off on tangents while people start talking about other things.
I also think that on facebook, you are also likely to get an uninformed view or advice from 'have a go' types that can not only be a waste of time but again, take the thread off topic and make you want to start another one.
In the end, I think it is best to use a bit of both, but I tend to use PH for more detailed technical analysis rather than for a quick question.

I find facebook a must now to keep in contact and updated on various car groups.
I wouldn't turn my back completely on here though. Like people say its a great resource and I feel I have friends here.
But please come join us in the FB car groups Peter. You just need to ignore all the other crap that can be unavoidable at times.
