Stolen from Papplewick in Nottingham with virtually brand new Toyo Proxes, all unscuffed but a few blemishes. I still have the caps so may be sold on without caps.

Guys, if any you come across a set, maybe from a non-TVR enthusiast in the Nottingham area would you bear me in mind and take down details of the seller, and get in touch? I would probably recognised them if not repainted. 07876 592278.

Thank you.

Thieving scum. Noted - will keep an eye out.
Any idea on tyre sizes - might help to narrow down potential suspects?

I would check out all the local scrap yards they may have just weighed them in as their such a niche market wheel .

I had a feeling this may start to happen given what they fetch 2nd hand. frown

Probably resprayed by now if they're to be sold on.

I invested in a set of locking wheel nuts for my last Chimaera which has Estorils. I wasn't going to bother on this car with Imolas but may get some now.

Taken off the car or were they off the car in a shed, garage or whatever?

Sorry to hear about the theft..there are some really nasty bast***s about!

These wheels appeared today on ebay. The seller, Hans, is well known in the TVR community.

You misunderstand me. I have Imolas on my present Chimaera, they came with the car. I sold the one with Estorils fitted back in May.

I'm about to have them refurbed though, and if Estorils are getting stolen, a nice set of Imolas may be next. frown

If you want locking wheel nuts, you need size M12 x 1.5 mm. 19mm (3/4") if you want the same size as the other 3 on the wheel, so not necessarily have to be Ford. I bought my last lot 2nd hand in 2014.

Having had alloys stolen in the past (not TVR) one of the first purchases for mine was a set of locking wheel nuts.

I went for McGard Wheel Locks M12 x 1.5 (24157SU)

Wheels were off the car. Foolishly, I had them “hidden” in the garden while the house was being refurbished. Opportunistic theft rather than to order.

The ones on eBay - picture dated before mine went, so they’re kosher.

I’ll have to dig out the invoice for tyre size; can’t renember if I put 225’s on the front or 215’s

Thanks for the responses guys.

I did wonder how they managed to raise the car to get the wheels off as they'd need a low entry trolley jack or similar to get under the chassis. However It's time to get some locking wheel nuts, methinks.
