I can only give you the benefit of my experience rather than an exhaustive list of instructions but it is a relatively straight forward task providing you have small hands and the right tools.
There are effectively 9 fixings which hold the roof in place at its lower edge.
Inside are the two main bolts on which the roof rotates, these are 6mm hex head bolts with spacers behind. There are 2 self tapping screws on the inner lower frame, again easily visible.
Now comes the tricky bit - inside the boot remove the top trim piece above the fuel tank - should just pull out.
There are now 5 vertical studs are that captive in the lower frame of the hood itself which secure to the body and protrude through into the boot area. If you fumble around you should be able to locate them but they will be in the 10,11,12 1 and 2 o'clock position if you imagine a clock face. They will be 10mm nuts that need to be undone - I managed to use a 1/4" drive long socket and a flexible drive to get them off but it will be a challenge due to the limited space.
Once you have removed them it should just be a case of lifting the whole unit up and off.
Note. This is for an early '94 car and I know there were some changes on later cars where the studs went through the frame from inside the car and into the boot which is far easier to remove but you will need two people to reach both sides at the same time.

I can back this up - mine was removed by Steve Edwards and myself, me just doing as I was told inside the car, him finding the other end of the fixings in the boot, but he knew where they were. It only took about 10 minutes all told.
Excellent opportunity to change to one of Steve's rooves - both halves can go in the boot, and you have a choice of the TVR fabric covering, or painting to match body colour. Here's Steve's car with the roof in place.
