I am filling my differential with oil,( that's a good start) while it is on the bench and level and it seems to take about 1.3–4 L of oil.

Had a quick browse on the net and some people say that it takes 1.6 L from empty.

I did drain all the all out that I could. Tipping up the differential but still cannot squeeze 1.6 L in.

I take it that it is full when it starts running out of the filler plug.

Evening Peter

From memory I'm pretty sure 1.4 litres is about right, however, and as already advised just use the filler as a level (with the diff level on the bench.

P.S. Hope all is well with you & yours. Talking about diffs, might need to change mine out at the end of this season. If only I had a post lift!!!!!!!!

When I’d done around 500 miles on the oil we put in my new dif Peter I changed it out, oil hot, drained for a good 1/2 hr
I seem to think it took about 1.4 possibly 1.5 max to re fill.
