I had an issue 3 times last week where the engine cut out completely and wont restart until i enable / disable the alarm, its not the normal Meta system as frequently discussed on here, its a 1995 model and i think its from Foxguard maybe?, any thoughts on the best way to trouble shoot or does anyone have the info available so i could just try a bypass?
Obviously it normally happens while just driving along and its not practical to start pulling it apart and testing at that time, i need to reset and get moving again as soon as possible

I’ve tried to find info regarding the foxguard wiring but drew a blank.
If your handy with a multimeter then I suspect an hour with the dash top off and you will be able to identify which wire does what.
Most alarms follow the same basic wiring procedure power and immobiliser cut wise,
I’m not 100% sure if the foxguard only has one control module or two as I’ve not had time to look at mine yet.
You could contact bridgewater electronics and see if they will supply a wiring diagram.

Once you know which wires are immobilising the ignition and or fuel pump relay you will be able to bridge them out or drive the car with test lamps wired to the inputs and outputs of the immobiliser so as to prove whats failing....it may be losing an input or not switching an output. Going by your description of the fault I suspect it's not switching an output

They can supply a new brain unit, fobs, siren etc. I fitted a complete new unit to replace a crappy failing aftermarket item the previous owner had installed. They supplied me a photocopy of the original manual and plug wiring diagram.
