Rebuilding original mirrors
Discussion
Hi All
Due to a cracked alloy frame I've taken the passenger side mirror apart with a view to rebuilding it with some spare parts I had. The outer casing is held onto the mount with Starlock washers. These have been destroyed removing them. I thought it would be pretty straight forward to find some replacements, however all the starlocks I've found have too larger a diameter. Starlock washer needs to be 4mm internal diameter and approx. 9mm outer, I can only find larger ones.
Has anyone taken a mirror apart and can recommend where to find the washer I need?
Cheers

I wouldn't lose any sleep over them, spring washers or a spot of threadlock?
But if you want to do it "properly" don't get ripped off paying £2.70
internal or external ? ........... star washers
Or I can pop you a few in the post?
And Brian's little modification in the link below is a "no brainer" imho

Not sure if you have seen this but worth doing if you have the mirrors out.

Starlock washers are a 'push on' retainer used on a plain post not a screw thread.
