I have a Clive y fitted and I’m also using his supplied variable resistor. I’m trying a new Mot station Thursday so initially I’m going to leave his y piece in place and see what they say.
What is the best tune to use?
I seem to remember reading it’s the white one for Mot time, car currently runs the green tune I think.

Unless it’s a friendly garage the green/white resistor is unlikely to make it pass alone. It needs the cat for that wink

If you have the pre cats in place and the ignition etc are in good fettle, you should get through.

That’s a good point ^^^^ thanks for reminding me,,, mine are removed.
They do a fair job when in there so fingers crossed you might get it though.
If it’s correct the Cat map uses the lambdas then the correct resistor might also help to correct the mix.
I’d let the engine go through a few heat cycles so computer can re learn before you go. Try not to get it too warm before the test would be my best bet.

Pre cats are out sadly, I know it will probably fail but I’m unable to fit the original catted y at the moment due to an injured hand!
Just wanted to run it on the most suitable map and hope they are in a good mood!

You need white tune if the main cats are in place. The White tune cycles the fueling correctly to make the catalysts work. You can ONLY run the green tune if the car has been rechipped so you will have the correct green map, no catalysts and none of the green maps will be emission complaint in a post 1992 car. The stock TVR green map is still the Range Rover one, so not correct for the engine state of tune.If you do have the correct chip / remap, and the garage is friendly, you can tweak the emissions with the screw on the side of the AFM.

Dont forget to do an ECU reset (unplug it ) if you have changed maps or it will throw and error code
