Afm Adjustment
Discussion
just doing some fine tuning after refreshing the engine, its running well enough but ive never touched the Afm since fitting a revised Steve Sprint chip. Currently running the green tune.
Main and pre cats are out.
Throttle pot set to roughly 0.400 volts closed, and showing 7% on Rovergauge, 88% showing at wide open throttle.
Base idle set and seems ok.
Afm voltage on Rovergauge showing 1.88 Volts, not sure how accurate this is but will double check with multimeter later.
I seem to remember reading this should be adjusted to nearer 1.5 volts with no cats in place and on the green tune?
Thanks in advance.

Regard it as a mixture control screw for up to 2500 RPM or so. Your voltage is a bit high so its likely to run rich. but you can set by ear- wind it anticlockwise and it will run lean and the idle becomes rough and uneven. Then simply wind it clockwise until the idle is smooth- job done. Its worth noting that some AFMs wind the other way apparently, but if you wind it over its range you will see whats way is rich and lean by the idle, just like you would on a carb'.
