Does anyone know the route this supply takes from the fuse box or what it actually feeds?
It went today while out on a run, replaced it and car was ok afterwards.
It’s the second fuse in from the left hand side

On my 97 chim second from right is fuse 20 high beam.
ECU is fuse 2 second from left and fuse 12.
Fuse 2 does ECU, MAF, injectors. Fuse 12 does ECU, pump relay coil, alarm/immobiliser.

So none of those circuits are 'heavy current' in normal use.
A fail of the ECU or MAF is unlikely to generate a large enough short. Likewise I doubt an injector could.
So that leaves a short in the wiring which could be anywhere.
However, I have seen a short where the injector wiring for Cyl.2 wore through and shorted to the coil mounting bracket.
