Both the rear side lights, dim slightly when either indicator is flashing. Everything else is OK and the front lights are not affected. I presume this indicates a poor earth connection. Do the rear light clusters have their own earth connection and if so where is it? I am aware of the several earth connections at the front of the car from the bible but can find nothing specific for the rear lights.

All the rear lights earth at a chassis mounting point down behind the fuel tank which will have to be removed to get at the earth point.
