Replacement cats for a W reg 500 Chim ?

Would be grateful for some advice from the mass of accumulated knowledge on this forum.
My main cat just disintegrated during MOT,still passed
.
Currently fully decatted with Clive's y piece and ACT reverse cone manifolds+standard back box.
So looking at Alternatives to having to buy another second hand y piece of unknown quality- age to pass the MOT next year.
Has anyone tried replacing the back box with a couple of aftermarket high flow CATS and would they get hot enough to pass ?
