Some of you may know that I sold my 450 Turbo Chimaera (573hp/610 lb and self build) some 3.5 years ago, an epic car. Well, the most recent owner (really nice chap, got lotus track car, big sports-bikes, proper petrolhead etc) has been in touch a few times the last of which was yesterday on a return journey from Portugal in it! (I went to Italy in it) He raves about it still, cannot believe how it accelerates from 100mph and his mate was amazed by how he couldn't lose it in his Ferrari.
Great cars that even now don't age like most.
Build it right, build it once.
st, I do miss that car. weeping
Apologies, had couple beers, nostalgia an' all that hippy

Hi Mac. Yours is a great car! I thought when I started reading this thread that you were going to say you have agreed to buy it back!

Similar feelings here. Even though I don’t regret selling mine I do miss it but I think like you it is only natural after spending many years getting the car to how you want it and certainly with mine spending a lot of time doing track days, sprints and drag days which probably won’t be repeated.

Sold my epic 5.5 to a serial TVR owner in London.

He sent me several pictures a few weeks back from his trip down the west coast of Ireland.

Somewhere in Ireland, lucky bugger!

Nah mate, he loves it and it seems the right owner for the car has it at last. I think some money was made on the car inbetween which says I sold it too cheap, but hey. He sent me a 5 min' vid of some twisties in Portugal keeping his mates 488 honest.
Good to hear you bloke, hope all's well. driving

I should be OK for this, pending getting the towbar fitted to the new motor next Tuesday.
Will make my mind up re going Fri evening (no camping on Fri eve on site means having to put the tent up and take it back down again Saturday morning ) but will stay Saturday for a few beers and a catch up ☺
