I have a dim red light on the dash all the time even with the engine off .
I also have a light on the steering column and a button .
I dont mind losing the light on the dash because the one on the column tells me when the alarm is activated .

Its cost me a new battery so want to get it sorted .

Take it to a Tvr specialist who knows electrics would be my advice as that connector is not meant to be there from my memory of the stalk area!
Might save a lot of faffing around and batteries are not cheap.

Chims can have a whole host of parasitic drains.

Courtesy light relay is often a culprit.

Looks to me that your alternator is fubar.
Does that light become bright when you turn on the ignition?
How competent are you with working on cars? If OK then find the thin brown/yellow wire and disconnect it from the back of the alternator and see if the lamp goes out.

I’m not sure why you have the other led but if it’s causing you issues then it’s probably better to hand it over to one of the Tvr alarm specialists and maybe get the system upgraded, and the wiring checked out.
Money well spent in the long run.

Yep, classic symptoms

Edited to add.
Don't replace the complete alternator at great expense.
You can buy a kit to repair it for around 25.00 from a company in Harlow, Essex.
Sounds to me like the diodes have gone. Very easy to replace.
Hold onto the original alternator for as long as you can, they are well made!

Go steady as you check it through

Alarm shouldn't alter alternator warning light brightness

Could be anything

Should the bottom light be alternator or alarm ?
I changed the dash some years ago.
