Adjustable coilovers?

I want to get a set of adjustable coilovers for my Chim and haven't been in the market for some time for this stuff, so not up to speed on what's favored.
The last set I bought were Protech adjustables for the Cerbera over a decade ago.

I don't want to spend silly money so not looking for Nitrons. Less than a grand is my budget. They need to be height and dampening adjustable.
Any recommendations chaps?

Were you happy with the Pro tech's on the Cerbera?

False economy imho as sports shocks are often Ali so corrode prematurely and if they are rose jointed will require regular greasing or will seize.
Nothing but a pain in the arse and not great as road shocks unless you buy high quality items.
If I was on a budget that will actually enhance the car and probably add value go for Ben Lang’s Billies. Costs a little more than a cheap new set of adjustables but will last a decade before even looking at them again.
My experience with adjustable ( cheap ) shocks if it’s a road car used in all weathers is it’s a waste of time. Grit and water gets in via the adjusters and they also seize.
If your sure you’re car will be dry use only then they are ok but still getting the damping right for all occasions is or can be a right game.

I'd go Billies but fitted with 'height adjustable' kits from Rally Design or Burtons.

These are mine awaiting cleaning and repainting

Do you have a link to the height adjustable kits, I couldn’t find them on either site.

the threaded tube is 6" long and so can be cut in half and fitted to two dampers.

Your Billies should have several grooves cut in the body to accept C rings which act as a bottom holding level for the threaded tube, just need to by the additional alloy adjusting rings.
