Empty diff (see previous post), squeezing (slowly) the new oil into the filler it seems to want to escape again through the filler.

Can someone save me the trial and error of rear end high or front end high so I can get the oil in without more of it making my drive limited slip ready...;)

Thanks

You said there was not much oil in it when you drained it. But are you sure the drain was not blocked/restricted? Make sure you have the filling tube right inside the Diff, I now use a syringe pump thing which helps.

scratchchin Mmmm food for thought , even looking at the lack of oil drained I am not convinced the pinion bearings at the very least have not over-heated and taken a beating cry

Think I’ll get a wire in the drain and see if anything is blocking the drain, although I’ve not seen it happen before I have to say.

All a bit of a surprise with a rebuild not long back.

Thanks for the thoughts so far

I've never experienced difficulty getting the oil to go in so you have some sort of issue going on there.

Thanks Steve.

Me neither on any other diffs - an amount (although not a torrent) came out when I took the filler off. At first I thouhght it was angles as the rear was a decent height up on stands b ut no Im wondering if it was pressure.

I think I will hang on and get a better look when I whip the body off to do the riggers. At least I won't the same access issues.
