Hi all,

1997 Chim handbrake and low fluid warning lights

On my Chim there are two separate warnings lights. One for the handbrake being on and one for low brake fluid warning. After wiring and dashboard replacement the low brake fluid warning light is permanently on.
Looking at the wiring there appears to be two ends of a resistor connected with the resistor middle missing.
Does anybody have a wiring diagram that covers having 2 separate warning lights as all the ones I can find have them combined. I guess the ice warning light has been sacrificed in favour of a separate low fluid one.

Unable to find any details of the resistor that is supposed to be there.

Does anybody else have this setup?

Thanks
Len

My low brake fluid light comes on with the handbrake light, it is wired correctly though and if I take the cap off the brake fluid reservoir it will light up to show low fluid.

If your car has the early dash panel I was sent this wiring diagram of how the lights and switches are connected, it might be worth checking you have put them back in the correct place.

Mine does the same.
