Hi, has anyone taken out the alarm/immobiliser on there car completely and ran the car without it?

Most just bypass it but if you have the skills you can remove it.
Depends which one it is.

Be aware that the alarm usually controls the door locking but you can remove the immobiliser without problems. Your insurance may then not be valid if they find out!

I've removed the immobiliser but left in the alarm. My insurer (Classic Line) said it made no difference not having the immobiliser anymore

Cheers all, the immobiliser is already bypassed but really want to get rid of the meta altogether as it’s 28yrs old now and maybe replace it with something more reliable? Any suggestions on what others have fitted instead would be appreciated.

This company offer plug and play upgrades, Meta were ok if wired correctly. I believe their upgrade rectifies the wiring error.
