Clutch fluid

I need to top up the clutch fluid resevoir. The handbook states use Mobil Universal brake and clutch fluid SAE J1703. Can I use any Dot 4 fluid? Mobil do not sell small quantities but suggested I use Esso Dot 4.

Yes 4.0 is fine. So is 5.1.
