Going to do an oil change on my MGB roadster this weekend.
Question: When I unscrew the filter will oil flood over everything or if the car has been standing for some time will all the oil be back in the sump and the filter come off dry?
If all is correct, oil will piddle all over the side of your engine. Put plenty of wrags down to collect it. If the tube up the middle of the filter is missing (it often is) then it won't make anywhere near as much mess.
