Battery health after 1 year MG4 owner
Discussion
Hi everyone,
I’ve been driving my MG4 for about a year now and wanted to share some real-world data on battery health.
Recently, I used a Toptekk TTB031 tester to check the battery State of Health (SOH), and the result came out at 97%.
For context:
Car age: ~1 year
Driving habits: mostly daily commuting, occasional fast charging
Charging: mainly AC charging at home
From what I’ve read, some initial degradation in the first year seems normal, especially with LFP batteries, and then it tends to stabilise.
So I’m curious:
👉 Does 97% after one year sound about right to you?
👉 What SOH are others seeing after similar mileage/time?
👉 And how reliable do you think third-party OBD/tester readings are compared to dealer diagnostics?
Would be great to hear your experiences!
