X308 auto headlights

Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust the threshold for the automatic headlights to come on?

My previous XJ8 was spot on, but my current XJR is dangerously unlit without manual intervention in marginal conditions! It's had a replacement windscreen.

The dial to adjust the sensitivity for the auto-lights can be found on the back of the rear-view mirror from memory.

Odd that it exists in the first place in my opinion - not available on my S-type!
