Hi
I don't normally hang about in the Jaguar section but I'm hoping you might be able to provide some details of classic car hire companies in Lancashire (in and around Burnley area would be good).

I am looking to hire a Mk9 as a present to my grandad for his 92nd birthday this year! He used to have a Mk9 back in the early 60s and I thought it would be a nice treat for him to take him out for the day (he does like going around his old haunts where he grew up).

I've come across Lancashire Classic Jaguar Hire and I need to make contact with them as they *might* have a Mk9, but the interweb isn't coming up with many more offers in the region. Does anyone know of somewhere I could try?

I would also like to see if I can trace his old car but having problems finding the number plate and the photo I have annoyingly doesn't have it on!

Anyway, here's the old fella with his P&J

Thanks
H.

There are many club members - JDC and JEC - who hire cars out for weddings. Why not contact them and see if someone can help? In your area I would suggest the Lancashire area representative would be a start and he is Brian Ekin for the JDC at ekin@btconnect.com

I am not a JEC member but I am sure someone here can help

As an update to my thread,Clive came up with the goods and Paul and his Mk9 turned up on Sunday to surprise my Grandad. My Grandad thoroughly enjoyed the morning on his drive down memory lane. Here he is at our final destination, the pub, for Sunday lunch.

Many thanks to Clive and Paul.thumbup
