Side stripes for my XJS

Hi all

Is there a company that I can source side stripes from for my 1992 XJS. I need the grey/red side stripes. Not sure where to get them from.

I don’t have an XJ-S so am not fully versed in the differences between model years and how they correlate to VIN numbers – and the difference in wing shape between the original shape and facelifted cars. Yours is a 1992 – is that a face lifted car and after VIN 179737?

I have been looking on the JDHT website which contains all the part numbers for the various coachlines applied to the XJ-S.

For pre-facelift cars all the flame red/pewter coachlines seem to still be available:

LH front - Flame red/Pewter - BCC4633 - £8.56+VAT
RH front - Flame red/Pewter - BCC4633 - £8.56+VAT
Front wing LH rear – Flame red/Pewter BCC4637 - £5.71+VAT
Front wing RH rear – Flame red/Pewter BCC4636 - £5.71+VAT
Door coachline tape Flame red/Pewter - BCC4640 - £14.27+VAT
LH Wing/tonneau coachline tape Flame red/Pewter - BCC4643 - £15.52+VAT
RH Wing/tonneau coachline tape Flame red/Pewter - BCC4642 - £14.27+VAT


On later cars the rear wing/tonneau coachline seems to no longer be available. I don’t know whether the earlier version will fit or can be made to fit.

That's how Rolls Royce used to do it. They had a man with a very steady hand who just painted them, no masking or anything.

I saw a video of a Rolls-Royce man doing that, it was remarkable.
